Purest of the pure.

I use Living Libations essential oils because I trust that they are the purest of pure organic and wildcrafted oils available.

Never Without It

My bottle of peppermint is a steady companion, I constantly have it carefully contained in my purse. A drop directly on the tongue lifts the spirits, parts the fog and blasts the breath. Wallet? Check. Phone? Check. Keys? Check. Peppermint? CHECK!

Perfect for burns - refreshing water boost

"This is essential in my healing toolkit. Using this for sunburns - I put pure aloe vera gel mixed with lavender essential oil+peppermint essential oil, and burn is gone fast. Peppermint essential oil has saved my skin many times. It is like an instant ice pack. Another time peppermint essential oil came to the rescue is when I had burnt sensitive skin on my neck with a hot hair straightener - it left a visible mark and hurt, so I kept applying peppermint essential oil every 10 minutes and for a few hours. That night when I got home and looked in the mirror, what looked like something that was going to leave a scar, the burn mark had vanished. This treated my burn on the spot!!! It absorbs deep into the layers of the skin to the tissues to cool them down! Peppermint essential oil works great in a drop of water bottle to keep it cool and fresh. Delicious. Living Libations essential oils are top quality!!!"

Bites, bumps, bruises begone!

I always, always have it in my kit for quick relief.  Also, one drop is a perfect mouth freshener when on the run!

Clean fresh quality peppermint

I believe peppermint is a great oil to have on hand, I keep one in my purse. Living Libations quality far surpasses that of other popular 'therapeutic' grade essential oils, in our own blind test - this tasted real, fresh and clean revealing a chemical-process taste in the other company's oil.

happy

"I also always have it with me: -oral refreshment -on the forehead to get clear in my mind -what ever needs attention: moskito bites, cuts... Peppermint and I are best friends!"

Divine

Your Peppermint is absolutely so divine, it smells like a syrup, so rich & real, it’s almost unbelievable!!!

Again, I have to say...

Love the Peppermint, what a difference to the cheap brand that I had!!!!

Great for small burns

I recently burnt myself with my curling iron. I put a dab of the Peppermint oil on the burn which instantly soothed it and I continued to put a dab on daily. The burn is healing nicely and doesn't look like it will scar. Wonderful product!

:)

This smells and taste wonderful! -like an extract or concentrated peppermint syrup. One of my favourite ways to use is straight after bed to wake me up and make me feel energized in the mornings.

It's a New World

All I can say is that I now know what real peppermint is.

the BEST peppermint oil… EVER

I kid not when I say it is very important to get good quality peppermint oil. Though in my experience it is actually pretty difficult to find a “bad” peppermint oil, but I surely do have a favourite. Find this beautiful steam distilled oil here at Living Libations. I feel the vibrations off of this oil like no other I have ever used, it is a real spiritual experience for me. I have come to the conclusion that no one on this planet makes more sublime essential oils than Nadine from Living Libations. You do have to experience it to believe it, but trust me when I say you will be a dedicated follower shortly after you take a sniff.

Incredible!

I love using a drop of peppermint essential oil as a breath freshener in my purse.  It has many other uses, too!  Just now I put it over my forehead because I had a slight sinus headache and its cooling effect melted the pain away!  Thank you Nadine for all of your incredible essential oils and products.  I am having so much fun trying new oils thanks to your wisdom:)

Details

Our Living Libations Peppermint Essential Oil is bursting with minty freshness and powerful plant properties. It is distilled in France by one of our favorite, fourth generation family distillers, they create a magic mint that is the only peppermint we can find that is distilled from fresh (instead of dried) leaves. This ancient elixir was a main ingredient in the famous Egyptian perfume and remedy, Kyphi and the Greeks used mighty mint in their bath water and as a restorative herb.  All the rage in Europe by the end of the 19th century, peppermint was and is much more than a mere breath freshener: it is known to ease headaches, clear the sinuses, improve digestion, and be victorious against a variety of bacteria and viruses. Mint derives from the Latin mente, meaning thought, as our antiquity ancestors considered it a boost for the brain. This energizing essence may also enhance mental clarity, improve focus and cultivate a razor sharp memory. Peppermint feels cooling and nice like ice, it is therefore one of those essential essential oils that belongs in every first aid and travel kit.

The antibacterial and antiviral properties of Peppermint Oil have been widely documented by aromatherapists and academics the world over. Studies have shown peppermint to be effective against Irritable Bowel Syndrome, tension headaches, bodily aches and pains, and even the herpes simplex virus. The skin may also benefit greatly from applications of Peppermint Oil, which is reputed to neutralize excessively oily skin, moisturize dry scalp, treat fungal infections, soothe irritating itches and eliminate lice.

Our Peppermint Oil offers fantastic focusing benefits as well. Apathy and anxiety cannot hold a candle to peppermint, which is used to lift the spirits, release emotional blockages, and increase the mind’s ability to focus for long periods of time.

So many uses for marvelous mint, it is helpful and handy, like the Swiss Army knife of essential oils!

“For the aromatherapy user, peppermint oil is as indispensable as it is problematic: indispensable due to its healing properties; problematic due to the many different qualities and compositions in which it is offered. Peppermint oil is produced on an industrial scale in the United States and China, mainly for the production of menthol. Most oils produced in the US are standardized blends of varying qualities… the oils produced in England and France are the most suitable for use in aromatherapy… Peppermint should be a part of every traveler’s first aid kit…”   ~  Kurt Schnaubelt, Advanced Aromatherapy

“[Mint] has a long-standing reputation as an aphrodisiac. Once esteemed as a cure for frigidity in both sexes, even today it is used as tonic for bulls and stallions when their sexual powers are waning. The Arabs still drink mint tea frequently to ensure virility.”   ~  Julia Lawless, Aromatherapy and the Mind

“Peppermint is perhaps the emblem of a Western cerebral stimulant. Awakening and uplifting, when inhaled this oil can go a long way to induce a more optimistic outlook, increase alertness and generally promote motivation. Like Rosemary, Peppermint is a classic for individuals suffering from loss of enthusiasm or downright pessimism; for loss of self-esteem and reduced left-brained activities such as difficulty focusing, memorizing etc.… there has been a 1000-year long discussion among medicinal herbalists concerning its warmth quality. Is it a warming or cooling stimulant? The conclusion? Simply this: Peppermint is a cooling stimulant when applied externally and a warming stimulant when taken internally. As a dynamic expression of remedy-human interaction, its effective warmth quality depends entirely on how it is administered.”   ~  Peter Holmes, Aromatica: A Clinical Guide to Essential Oil Therapeutics

“It is the destiny of mint to be crushed.”   ~  Waverly Lewis Root

“In Roman mythology, when Pluto professed his love for the nymph Mentha, his wife Persephone, afire with jealousy, crushed Mentha into dust on the ground. Pluto, unable to change her back, transformed her into a peppermint plant and gave her a fresh fragrance so she would smell sweet whenever stepped upon.”  ~  Alan Higley (quoting Roberta Wilson), Reference Guide for Essential Oils
