Product Description
Inula graveolens, distilled in Corsica and from the botanical family Asteraceae is a rare and favoured essential oil for practitioners of aromamedicine. We must admit we have been holding sacred a 15ml bottle from the 2008 distillation, as Inula is a rare essence and only available in years with an abundant harvest. We just received a beautiful batch of Inula; our Inula is distilled from the root and yields a rich blue-green oil. It is revered as the strongest mucolytic (loosens congestion) in aromatherapy, its main components of esters (bornyl acetate 50%), and sesquiterpene lactones make Inula a good companion for lung inflammation, sinus congestion, bronchitis and related muscle tension, a heart tonic and friend of the throat chakra.
Blends Beautifully with - frankincense, rosemary, rose otto, laurel, hyssop decumbens, lemon myrtle, immortelle, eucalyptus, thyme linalool and grapefruit
Diffuse in room over night, a drop on a handkerchief by the nose while sleep, in baths, teas with honey and apply diluted with some Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever to nose, sinuses and chest.
“Despite its uncertain availability, it is recommended for all bronchitis conditions, for which its usefulness cannot be overestimated. It is so effective that a family of four using it correctly will not need more than 5mls in one year” - Kurt Schnaubelt, Advanced Aromatherapy
