Absolutes are a method of extraction to capture the moment of the flower’s fragrance. Absolutes differ in chemical composition than essential oils (which are made though steam). Absolutes are more complex; extraction through dissolving (rather than extraction though evaporation; used only for perfumery to enjoy the potent aspects of their heady aromas.
